Laura Crago and Bill Roberts join to support children and families

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Youth Villages North Carolina announces the addition of two new members to its local board: Laura Crago, director of training and development for Givens Communities, and Bill Roberts, president and owner of Market Commercial Real Estate.

As a leader in teamwork and organizational development, Crago recently made the move to Givens Communities, a nonprofit retirement community. Through this, she has a passion for engaging our most vulnerable communities for a better quality of life.

“I have the opportunity to empower teams to support our elderly community,” Crago said. “As a board member, I want to take that same energy and help Youth Villages focus on strengthening families and offer guidance on opportunities where children are given a wide range of options for success while investing in their future.”

Roberts is the owner of Market Commercial Real Estate, a client-­focused brokerage company providing leasing, sales and tenant representation throughout western North Carolina.

“As a husband and father, I want to be a voice for building strong families in my Asheville,” Roberts said. “I want to change the conversation and help Youth Villages provide families the support and structure that all children need today and in the future.”

The new board members join the current board chaired by Jesica Averhart, executive director of Leadership Triangle in Durham. The Youth Villages North Carolina current board includes 14 members from across the state.
