Marietta Davis of Alpharetta recently joined the Youth Villages national board of directors.
Davis serves as Microsoft’s general manager of the enterprise and partner group, Greater Southeast District. She is responsible for overseeing sales, marketing and service delivery to the company’s enterprise customers in six Southeastern states, as well as for Microsoft’s engagement with the community on such important issues as economic development and innovation. She has been with Microsoft since 1999.
She previously held the positions of general manager for Microsoft’s Heartland District, director of headquarter sales for the Central Region and director of strategy for its U.S. operations team.
Davis holds an MBA from Loyola University and a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University.
She actively supports the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education Coalition, and especially encourages young women to enter careers in science and technology.
Youth Villages is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to helping emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families live successfully in Georgia through intensive in-home services, residential care and a transitional living program to help former foster youth make a successful transition into independent adulthood.
Youth Villages’ intensive in-home services program helps children and families where they need help most: in their own homes. By strengthening the entire family, the organization’s intensive in-home services program helps prevent children from being placed into foster care or residential treatment, and also helps children who have already been placed outside the home to reunify quickly and safely with a member of their birth family.
Youth Villages opened its Atlanta office in 2008. The Youth Villages-Inner Harbour Campus began helping Georgia’s most troubled children and teens in 1962.
